Rose Max and Ramatis
They were born and raised in Rio de Janeiro City, the capital of bossa nova and samba, and moved to the United States in 1993 where they continue to have a very busy performing schedule. They have become highly recognized in the Brazilian, Spanish and American communities and have won many awards, Rose as the best Brazilian singer and Ramatis as the best Brazilian producer and musician.
Ramatis is a guitar and bass player, songwriter, musical producer, arranger and sound engineer. Rose is a singer, songwriter that also plays percussion and likes to play acoustic guitar at home.
Soul Duo is an album by American jazz organist Shirley Scott and flugelhornist Clark Terry recorded in 1966 for the Impulse! label. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4 stars stating "This is one of organist Shirley Scott's lesser-known Impulse LPs ... Although not playing with the force that Stanley Turrentine exhibited when jamming with the organist, Clark Terry adds humor and a wistfulness to the date that easily compensates".
Oriente with Eddie Balzola
Eddy Balzola & ORIENTE! "Soul Jazz Meets the Clave" Born in Guanabacoa, Cuba, artist / guitarist / composer / arranger Eddy Balzola debuted his funky world fusion band at Snug Harbor Jazz Club in New Orleans mid-90s. ORIENTE’s bluesy, harmonic jazz and soul, seasoned with Afro-Cuban & Caribbean rhythms, was unique, fresh, cool and colorful. Balzola remains ever evolving and creative with instrumentation, space and sound. His current trio and quartet projects feature long-time band member and amazing multi- percussionist Yoel Del Sol (Cienfuegos, Cuba), joined by world class bassist Rusty Hari Heck on upright & electric (Puerto Rico), lifelong friend and superb bassist Dony Felix (Haiti) and Cuban/Jazz vocalist Livan Mena. The band’s musical palette ranges from melodic, bluesy, swingin’ and sensitive, to get-down funky, with serious organic rhythms and soul with the freedom to improvise at any moment.
